Porcelain Gin is the culmination of the family's deep-rooted knowledge and expertise in Chinese botanicals, combined with meticulous craftsmanship and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The gin features a carefully curated blend of 18 botanicals, sourced from across China, including juniper berries that are hand-picked from the hillsides of Inner Mongolia.

Rooted in a long family lineage of traditional spice makers, our distillery has private access to some of the finest botanicals and ingredients that China has to offer. This deep, ancestral knowledge of botanicals and their unique properties sets us apart, allowing us to create spirits that are truly unparalleled.

We are proud to have collaborated with Kai Seidenhefter, a true gin distilling veteran and award-winning expert from Hessen, Germany. By combining his vast knowledge of traditional European gin distilling techniques with our sophisticated understanding and access to premium botanicals, we have been able to create a full-bodied, vibrant gin that showcases the best of both worlds.

Custom Copper Plated Still
Introducing Mulan, our stunning 500L custom-made copper plated still featuring a European-style copper alembic dome. This magnificent piece of equipment is the heart and soul of our distillery, where we craft our exceptional spirits.

The process begins with our carefully selected botanicals, which are left to simmer overnight in the boiler. This slow, meticulous approach allows the ingredients to fully infuse, resulting in an intense and complex flavor profile. The fresh botanicals are then introduced, and their delicate aromas are expertly captured through the vapor infusion chamber.

The flavors are further combined and refined as they pass through our 6-plate vertical reflux column, ensuring a superior level of purity and balance. The spirit is then ultra-cooled in the condenser, where it is carefully collected for bottling.

One of the unique challenges we face is the harsh winters in the Liaoning Province, where our distillery is located. Temperatures can plummet as low as -35 degrees Celsius, thus to minimize our carbon footprint, we harness the power of natural outdoor cooling to chill our condenser column, showcasing our commitment to sustainable practices.

Shanghai Dry Gin draws its origination from the familiar definition of a London Dry Gin.

A Shanghai Dry Gin must contain at least 90% of its botanicals that is sourced from China. The product cannot be artificially sweetened. All botanical flavour in a Shanghai Dry Gin must be imparted through distillation.

We are proud that Porcelain Gin has a detected methanol level that is 6 times lower than EU Official methanol requirements.
